LIFE COMMUNITY YEAR-END LETTER

JANUARY 2026

Dear Church Family,

As we begin a New Year and look back on 2025, I want to pause and say thank you so much for the way you have loved, served, prayed, and given this past year! Again, God has been so faithful and again He has done so much through you, His church and His people. This year was filled with so many moments of impact both seen and unseen that illustrate His work in and through His people!

One moment that stands out to me personally happened on July 3rd at our River Baptism. It was cold and raining nonstop all evening. As people arrived, we were all huddled together under a gazebo, hoping the weather would clear but unsure if it would. When we asked those getting baptized if they wanted to go forward with the baptism or reschedule, the response was overwhelming: let’s do this!! Not long after, the rain stopped, the sky opened up, and the sun shone down on the water right as the baptisms began! It turned into a beautiful and meaningful evening. About 50 people were baptized in the river on that unforgettable night!

Throughout the year we saw God move in powerful ways. Here are a few highlights:

• Youth Ministry was marked by life change. Students gave their lives to Jesus, many rededicated their lives, and others were stretched and strengthened spiritually both Wednesday nights and at camps. They built meaningful friendships and grew together.

• Our high school leadership team grew in character and stepped up to lead in various ways, including taking over and leading entire youth services and leading at camp! It was incredible to watch them realize they can be leaders and spiritual influences for younger students. The Apache Nation mission trip deeply impacted the lives of many children for Jesus, as well as forming strong, lasting relationships among the students who served.

• In Children’s Ministry, classes & VBS helped many grow! Kids were encouraged to pray and believe they too could make a difference and impact their friends’ families for Jesus. They took that seriously by inviting their friends. It was so cool to see their unchurched friends bring their entire families to church and for our kids to see many prayers answered!

• Ministry interns were developed and released, and have been serving and using their talents to help lead the church in many different ways

• This past Holiday season the stories we heard from foster kids who received gifts through your generosity blew us away! The foster families were deeply moved and genuinely grateful.

• Our congregation cared for church families in need through prayer, meal trains, and practical help, including walking alongside a family who lost their home in a fire. Lives were tangibly impacted during times of real hardship through your generosity and support.

• Men’s and Women’s Ministries hosted meaningful events like the Passover Seder and Axe & Ember BBQ where people connected and ended up finding a church home here at LC.

• We saw prayers answered, including family members who are now moving toward Jesus!

• Weekend services welcomed many newcomers over the year and the gospel was shared with many! At our Christmas service it was so cool to see the convention center filled up with our church family under one roof at the same time! Lots of people received prayer through our ministry team over the year, and we saw God answer and meet people in their need. Many people were baptized both at services and in the river!

Because of your generosity, the gospel continued to go forward far beyond our walls:

• Through our missions partners around the world, lives are being impacted, some in the midst of real persecution. Your giving supported gospel work in a closed Asian nation and helped support believers who were imprisoned for their faith.

• Many missionaries and ministries were supported both locally and worldwide including Young Life, FCA, YWAM, Petros, Outpour, AOI and more. Locally, you helped the homeless shelter stay open through the winter and supported the local food bank. In total, our church was able to dedicate over $200,000 toward outreach – both locally and globally!

• Through our partnership with Father to the Fatherless, you gave over $40,000 to help complete a high school in Uganda! This school will change the lives of students who we pray will go on to change a nation. We also helped send the director and his family to Uganda where he preached the gospel at a New Year’s gathering and hundreds of people gave their lives to Jesus!

• Our church was able to help a church in Durango purchase their own building. We’re excited about the fruit for God’s kingdom in that town that will go on for generations!

• In Mexico, two families received new homes through your generosity and the hard work of our Homes of Hope teams! The relationships formed on that trip didn’t end there; they continued into discipleship groups back home.

We also witnessed God working in quieter ways that don’t often make it onto a stage. Families who connected and stayed because you made them feel at home. A person who walked in carrying long-standing questions about God, heard a message that spoke directly to their struggle, and went home that day knowing God sees them and desires a relationship with them. A teacher who invited a coworker to church—she accepted Jesus, was baptized, and they went on a mission trip together!

We watched prayer bring healing, comfort in grief, and renewed hope in lives. Many grew in their faith through Replicate Groups, marriages were strengthened, community was formed and household finances got back on track through groups and classes at the church. I’ve been especially encouraged watching people take risks. They prayed for coworkers, stepped out in faith, and saw God move! All of this happened because you loved, volunteered, served, prayed, and gave.

As our church grows, we continue to seek God for what He has for us in the future. This spring we look forward to expanding our ministry space into the building next door (the old Garfield’s space) for another multi-purpose room that will serve people of all ages. We’re excited to finish our back patio/yard space at our current location and see a bunch of kids having a blast out there! We’re dreaming of what God will do in the future on our 32-acre property a mile west. If you would like more detailed information on how our church is investing in Kingdom ministry, please reach out to me directly and we can set up a time to connect.

Looking back at this past year I am filled with so much gratitude for everything that God is doing both seen and unseen. We move forward with faith and expectation for what’s ahead. Your generosity, faithfulness and support of Life Community is serving and reaching so many lives both locally and around the world! Thank you so much! It is such a joy to pastor a community so committed to Jesus and His mission.

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
