What To Expect

Whether this is your first time checking out a church, or your first time in a long time, we’re glad that you’re here and we hope that we see you at one of our Saturday or Sunday Services. You can expect a casual environment - so, come as you are!

Our service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. We begin with about 20 minutes of modern worship music, followed by announcements and a message from the bible. After announcements is the time kids go to their classes.

WHEN DO I NEED TO GET THERE?

Saturday service starts at 6 pm and Sunday starts at 9am & 11am. It's a good idea to arrive a few minutes early so you can get familiar with the facility. Both services offer the same music, message and kids classes.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We invite you to come as you are, whether you want to wear a suit or shorts and sandals, ripped jeans or a dress. Most of our members and attendees tend to dress pretty casual.

What We Value

We exist to move people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

At Life Community we believe that Jesus wants people to know Him. That’s why we plant churches. We exist to move people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

At Life Community we believe in creating welcoming, genuine community in an age of fractured community. Social media will never replace true community. We want to be the kind of church where Jesus words “they will know you are believers by your love for one another” are truly lived out. We want to be a community that always invites and welcomes new people into relationship.

We believe that God wants us to be a people who learn to hear His voice and follow Him in faith – a faith that is rooted and anchored in His word, the Bible. We believe that the Bible can and should be communicated in a practical and engaging way. In both our kids and adult programs we do our best to teach the scriptures in a way that makes them come alive and applies them to everyday life.

We believe in BOTH AND: we do our best to create services where BOTH long time believers continue to grow AND where those who are new to church love to attend. At Life Community we believe in equipping: We desire to be a church that helps people move towards the things that God has placed on their hearts. We want to see people truly come alive and live out their unique purpose.

We believe that all followers of Jesus are called to influence others and to make other followers of Jesus (disciples). We believe that every member of Jesus’ body (the Church), in every profession or walk of life is called to live life as “full time ministry” – the primary job of our pastors and leaders is to encourage and equip YOU to do the work God’s calling you to do in the world.

We identify with the Vineyard family of churches in Grand Junction and around the world. www.vineyardusa.org

Meet Our Pastor & Staff

Tim & Elisabeth Nutting

Tim Nutting is the founding Pastor of Life Community. He and his wife Elisabeth felt the call of God to plant a church, and in 2013 they launched Life Community on the Redlands in Grand Junction. Tim has been in pastoral ministry in the Grand Valley since 2006. Before entering pastoral ministry Tim did international work with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and was a recording artist singer/songwriter. Elisabeth directs Life Community’s children’s program and has worked with children for over 20 years. Prior to meeting Tim, she worked overseas in missions for a number of years. Tim and Elisabeth have two kids who love to participate in LCC's children's and youth programs and also serve in different areas at the church.

Life Community is also led by a growing staff and a whole lot of fantastic volunteers!
